Osun State's Ministry of Youth Affairs, led by Commissioner Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan, has met with the recently appointed IMOLE Youth Local Government Coordinators in a crucial meeting. The gathering, which began at 11:00 a.m. and ended by noon on Wednesday, 20, 2024, at the ministry's office in Abere, Osogbo, was centered on defining their roles and responsibilities. This initiative is part of the ongoing efforts under the administration of Senator Dr. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke to prioritize youth development across the state. The coordinators, representing local governments and well as the Area office were tasked with spearheading the IMOLE Youth Corps activities in their respective regions. In his address, Hon. Olagunju expressed gratitude to Governor Adeleke for his commitment to youth empowerment and the development of Osun State. He charged the coordinators to carry out their duties with diligence and integrity, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the program’s momentum and resisting any external pressures that might hinder its progress. “You must work tirelessly and ensure you uphold the goals of the IMOLE Youth Corps. Do not allow any invaders to disrupt the good work we aim to achieve,” he said. The commissioner, fondly called OMO, also commended the coordinators for attending the meeting, some of whom traveled long distances to be present. The meeting had in attendance the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Mrs. Taiwo Oladunjoye, and the Director of Youth, Mrs. Olubola Odediji, who reiterated the ministry's dedication to ensuring the program's success. This engagement underscores the state government’s commitment to fostering a robust framework for youth development through structured and impactful programs. https://x.com/ImoleYouths/status/1859210681536389298?t=MDpHydDUFHiyjJW1K8OcVQ&s=19
